Hey everyone! So I recently got gifted Sea of Thieves and I’m really enjoying the game. However, I’m running into a major issue with the audio. I’m using JBL710BT Bluetooth headphones, which have a built-in mic. While I can hear the game’s sounds and use the mic in-game without any problems, I can’t hear other players talking through my headset at all. Instead, their voices come through my external speakers, which is really uncomfortable for privacy reasons. I’ve checked my in-game audio settings and set them to ‘Headphones’ for all output, including voice chat. Is there something I’m missing to get voice chat working through my headphones? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You might want to check your audio output device settings. Right-click the audio icon in your system tray, select Sounds, and then head to the Playback tab. Make sure your headset is set as the default communication device. This should route the game’s voice chat through your headphones instead of your speakers.
Keep in mind that Sea of Thieves doesn’t have its own dedicated audio settings like some other games. You’ll need to tweak the audio options through the Windows Game Bar (press Windows+G). Check to see if you have the audio settings adjusted there for your headset to ensure voice chat comes through properly.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve already checked the Game Bar settings and have everything set to headphones, but I appreciate the help!
