Has anyone experienced issues connecting to the login server on an M3-Pro Mac? I’ve tried a bunch of fixes including verifying the game files, turning off V-Sync, adjusting firewall settings, and even using a VPN. I also changed my DNS settings, flushed the DNS cache, and restarted the mDNSResponder service, but no luck. Any suggestions?

What’s your experience with Kegworks? I used Wine to run some games, but it wouldn’t load Path of Exile for some reason. Is Kegworks a better alternative?
Are you launching the game from Steam? I had to try over 50 times to get in at first, and then I switched to downloading the game directly from the official site, and that worked for me.
Ah, I was using Steam to launch it. That might be worth trying!
If you’re playing the Mac version, this has been a problem since at least the launch of Settlers, and it’s unlikely to get fixed anytime soon. The best way to play is through the Windows version using a porting kit, as performance can actually be pretty solid if your Mac doesn’t throttle. Also, be aware that EU servers have had their issues too, which might be contributing to the problem here.
Thanks for the tip! I actually got it running using the Windows standalone client with Kegworks.
Kegworks does have some issues—like a laggy interface and weird right-clicking problems. But for POE, it runs smoother than the native Mac version, so I’d say it’s worth it!
