Hey everyone, I noticed that after the latest patch for Monster Hunter Wlds, my performance has really tanked. Before I migrated to Linux, I could get decent performance, but now it’s a whole mess. I’m getting only 10 to 20 fps and it’s totally unplayable! Is anyone else experiencing this? Could it be an issue with the new version and Proton? I’m still pretty new to Linux gaming, so I’m not sure if game-breaking updates are common. Any insights would be appreciated!

Yeah, I’m having issues too! Before the patch, I was rocking a steady 60fps at 4K with my 5700x3d and 7900xtx on ultra settings, no frame gen, just FSR set to Quality. Now I’m getting random stutters and my fps regularly drops to around 37. It’s really frustrating! The only fix I’ve found is to switch FSR to performance, but the game just ends up looking like a blurry mess. What a bummer!
I’m also experiencing some horrible lag spikes now! I used to get a smooth 60fps on ultra, and now I’m struggling between 10 and 30. What even happened? It’s so annoying!
Crashes have definitely increased for me too! A lot of players are facing these same issues, even on Windows. Looks like we might have to sit tight and wait for a fix.
I feel you on that! I tried some fixes but got locked out by Denuvo. I thought there was a limit on how many computers I could use? No matter the settings, the performance is the same for me—total mess. I hope they sort this out soon.
