I’m really curious if people have managed to play Genshin Impact on the Steam Deck. If you have, how did it go? I’m particularly interested in how the controls feel compared to playing on mobile devices. Any experiences to share?

Yeah, you can definitely play HoYo games on the Steam Deck! Just be cautious with anti-cheat measures; there have been reports of bans. I personally avoid it to stay safe, but some folks have had good experiences. Better to play free-to-play if you’re worried about your account.
I installed Genshin on my Deck recently and, wow, it’s a fun way to play! Just a heads up, the setup can be a bit complex, but totally worth it once you’re up and running. You definitely get that console feel!
I’ve heard Genshin runs well on the Deck if you add the HoYo launcher as a non-Steam game. The controls and graphics are solid once you get everything configured. Just make sure to check out some guides; the setup can be tricky at first!
I tried Genshin on my Steam Deck a while back, and it was a great experience for me! Coming from a PS5, the controls felt pretty natural and translated nicely. It’s somewhat of a hassle to set up, but there are plenty of video tutorials to help you out.
I haven’t played Genshin, but I played another game on my Deck and it worked perfectly. The built-in controller makes game controls much better than mobile, where your thumbs cover the screen. I’d bet Genshin runs well too!
