Hey everyone! So I recently started playing God of War: Ragnarok through PS Plus Extra and I’m currently at the Garm boss battle. I’ve played Bloodborne before and absolutely loved it, so I’ve been thinking about trying out Elden Ring too. I’ve heard from a friend that it’s similar to Bloodborne and possibly even better. However, I didn’t really enjoy the 2018 version of God of War. I’m just not sure if I should go for Elden Ring instead, especially since my PS Plus subscription is running out and the other game options don’t seem that incredible. What do you all think? Is it worth getting Elden Ring given these circumstances?

If you’re into storytelling, Ragnarok might fulfill that for you. However, Elden Ring is a whole experience. The variety of builds and deep world design make every playthrough unique! Just keep in mind, it’s more challenging than Ragnarok.
Honestly, comparing these two is like apples and oranges. Since you mentioned you weren’t a fan of the previous God of War, I’d lean towards Elden Ring. Its gameplay and exploration are on a whole different level, and if you liked Bloodborne, you might find the challenge and the sense of discovery super rewarding.
Both games have their perks, but for me, Elden Ring edges out. There’s little hand-holding, and the challenge really makes you feel accomplished when you defeat tough bosses. Plus, the world is vast and filled with surprises, so you won’t run out of things to explore.
That sounds awesome! I love when games keep you on your toes. Elden Ring might be the way to go then.
They’re really different games, so it depends on what you’re looking for. If you enjoyed Bloodborne, you might find Elden Ring more to your taste. It’s more open-world and doesn’t hold your hand, which makes it truly unique. If you’re after a narrative-driven experience, Ragnarok is great for that!
I get that, but I’m already invested in Ragnarok, being at the Garm boss. Still, I feel excited about what Elden Ring offers!
