Hey everyone! I’ve decided to give Breath of the Wild another chance on my Switch. I admit I wasn’t a huge fan the first time around and put it down early. But now that my tastes have changed, I’m ready to dive back in! I’m looking for tips from the community on how to make this experience more enjoyable for me. I had two main issues last time that I hope to address:
1. Weapon durability was a big pain for me. I often found myself in a fight and constantly breaking my weapons. Is there a way to manage this so I’m not burning through sticks too quickly?
2. I often wandered around aimlessly and didn’t feel like I was making progress. How can I navigate better and keep my exploration more engaging?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

I totally feel you! I struggled a lot when I first played too. I ended up quitting for a while because I went straight for the Gerudo Desert and hit a wall at the hardest divine beast. When I picked it up again, I learned that taking on the divine beasts in the right order made it way easier. Also, tackling shrines on the way helps gather resources and makes later battles smoother! Follow a walkthrough to optimize your experience; it really made a difference for me!
One great tip for the weapon issue is to grab the Master Sword early on! It doesn’t break and can recharge after 10 minutes of use, which takes the pressure off weapon management. Plus, you’ll usually stumble upon decent weapons as you explore.
For navigating, try following some main story quests and interact with NPCs with dialogue bubbles. They often lead to fun side quests that can break up the wandering. Also, I highly recommend building a house—it’s a game-changer!
Thanks! I’ll definitely look up the best order to tackle things.
