Hey everyone! I’m an older player who has been around since the vanilla beta days. I used to enjoy raiding with my friends, but they’ve all moved on. Now, I’ve decided to dive deeper into the game on my own. I’m doing fine with solo play and PUGs, but I really want to challenge myself and get into Mythic content. I’ve heard some horror stories about the community, which makes me hesitant. I’d love some advice on the steps I should take to start running Mythic or more difficult endgame content. Any tips for someone who is coming back and wants to improve as a player?

Just a heads up, are you asking about Mythic raids or Mythic+ dungeons? Both paths can be fun, just different!
As long as you’re making an effort to learn, you’ll do well in Mythic+. I rarely experience toxicity in the game, so don’t let that scare you. Just be sure to ask questions and understand your class’s mechanics; you’ll fit in just fine!
It’s great to see you wanting to jump back into the game! I came back after a long break too, and I recommend finding a guild with other older players. They understand life’s responsibilities and often have a good balance. Plus, don’t forget to use useful addons and weakauras to help with your gameplay. Watching guides and practicing with a group via voice chat can really enhance your experience. It’s all about learning and having fun!
For Mythic+ dungeons, you should start by using the premade groups feature. You can set the difficulty and find groups easily. Just remember to slot your Keystone at the entrance to activate it and enjoy learning the dungeons. You can’t drop below a 2+, so just dive in and have fun! It’s all about getting experience.
Thanks for asking! I’m looking at Mythic+ dungeons.
