Hey everyone! My little brother just hurt his right hand, which is his dominant one, and he loves gaming on his computer. Most games out there need two hands, and the ones designed for one hand usually focus on mouse controls that he can’t manage right now. I’m looking for some recommendations for games that primarily use the left side of the keyboard. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Celeste is a fantastic option! You can easily play it using just the left side of the keyboard, mainly with WASD, shift, and maybe one other key. It’s a great platformer, and he would probably love it if he’s into that genre.
You should check out Zork! It’s text-based, so you can type at your own pace without needing two hands. It might be a hit if he likes adventure games.
Try out Brotato and Vampire Survivors! Both games can be played with one hand, and they’re super fun. He might enjoy the gameplay style.
Great suggestions! Halls of Torment is also a good choice.
Have you thought about accessibility features? Many games offer settings for left-handed controls, so he might be able to play some of his favorites with those adjusted options.
… I probably should have thought of this. I’ll remind my brother that some games, especially popular ones, have accessibility settings. Thank you.
Balatro is a really cool game that’s like poker but packed with a ton of other mechanics. It’s pretty engaging and can be played mostly with one hand.
Yeah, that looks good. I’ll recommend it to him, thank you!
