I’m having a frustrating issue with Helldivers 2 on my PC. Every time I launch the game, my Windows resolution automatically drops to 900×720, even though I’m using a 3840×2160 display. This happened previously on my old monitor, which was 1920×1080. I’ve checked the game files’ integrity, done a full reinstall, and cleared caches, but the problem persists. The only way to fix it temporarily is to go into Windows settings and change the resolution back, but it just resets when I relaunch the game. Has anyone else dealt with this problem or found a solution?

I’ve had something similar happen where the game launches on the wrong monitor. It toggles from my main 1440p display to a secondary one that only supports 1080p. This issue just started popping up in the last couple of months.
You might want to check the config file located in your %appdata% folder. Sometimes it gets set to “Read Only,” which can stop the game from saving your settings correctly. If it is set to “Read Only,” it won’t apply any changes you make after you adjust them.
Thanks for the tip! I’ll check that when I get home. It’s just odd since I’ve never played at such a low resolution before, and this issue occurred even after clearing the app data cache.
I went through a similar situation after switching to a single 4k monitor from two screens. The issue occurred even before my upgrade, but it seems like it’s something related to the game’s resolution settings.
