My fiancé has logged over 17 hours into his game, and now it’s completely messed up. Every NPC he encounters turns aggressive and attacks him for no apparent reason! This started in Wyndham Village, even in restricted zones, and now it seems to happen everywhere he goes. The only save he can revert to is from about 5 or 6 hours ago. He’s tried everything he could think of, including throwing all his weapons away. Is there any way to fix this, or is his gameplay ruined?

It sounds like he might’ve accidentally killed a soldier in Wyndham Village. In that area, if you’re caught trespassing, the protocol soldiers turn hostile. Unfortunately, the only real solution is to load a save from before the incident happened.
Honestly, going back a few hours isn’t the end of the world. A lot of the time spent might’ve just been exploring or picking up things he doesn’t really need. I had to reload a save four hours back for an ending, and it took me only about half an hour to complete it knowing what I know now. Still, it’s definitely frustrating!
I’m with you on this! I’ve logged about 12 hours and faced non-stop challenges in that village too. I wanted to explore without a guide but ended up confused and couldn’t even talk to some key characters. Sad to hear others have faced issues as well.
