Has anyone else experienced issues with side quests in Kuttenberg that seem unreachable? I’ve traveled across the map to various ‘New Quest’ markers only to find I can’t initiate the quests when I get there. It’s super frustrating, especially since I’m nearly out of side quests and I really enjoy the random storylines they offer. As a side note, after completing most quests in the Trosky region and a good number in Kuttenberg while putting about 175 hours into the game, I’m starting to think that a large chunk of the content is actually side quests, given that I feel I’m only about 45% through the game. What are your thoughts on this?

A lot of side quests in Kuttenberg can be tricky because some of them require you to progress further in the main story before they activate. For instance, before patch 1.3, there were quests in Kuttenberg that you could see markers for, but you couldn’t actually start them until you hit specific points in the storyline. One example is the High Toll quest, which only became available after rescuing Hans. It’s pretty common for quest markers to remain even after you finish certain quests, so don’t get too frustrated!
I’ve run into bugs too, especially with side quests. For example, I got a hint from the innkeeper about a job at a fortress, but the NPC wasn’t responsive when I got there. I think it might be a leftover from when I confronted him about selling me a fake treasure map. It’s a bummer when you see a quest marker but can’t do anything with it!
That’s the issue, isn’t it? There are about 100 side quests and only 25 main quests, and not all of them show up on the map. Some like the tailor quest from Mesoles, for example, can be hard to find since they don’t pop up on your quest list until you’re in the right place in the story.
Yeah, that glitched for me too! I completed the related quest ages ago, but I still have the quest marker lingering from that NPC.
