Hey everyone! I didn’t want to post this, but I could really use some advice. I’m at my wit’s end here. I used to play ADC, but I switched to mid because I felt like ADCs have no impact in the game. Unfortunately, I discovered that I also don’t enjoy playing mid champs. So, I decided to try playing support to take it easy and not worry about farming and all that. However, I’m running into a huge problem: every game seems to have at least one guy on my team who makes it impossible to win. Just today, I ended up with a Zoe with 0/8, an Ekko who went 1/6, a 1/12 Azir, a feed-heavy Mel, and finally Amumu going 1/8. I know I’m not aiming for Challenger, but with team combos like these, it feels like an auto-loss. I really want to climb to Gold this season since I started taking the game seriously, but it’s looking more and more impossible and I’m losing my motivation to play. Honestly, I think Silver players are worse than those in Bronze, so I’m wondering what to do about these frustrating situations. Can I even climb to Gold with these teammates? What strategies do you recommend for dealing with such players? Thanks in advance!

Honestly, it sounds like you might want to reassess your own gameplay rather than just blaming the rest of your team. You’ve been stuck in low Silver for a long time, which suggests it could be more about your skills than your teammates. Instead of venting frustration at others, try focusing on what you can improve in your own play. That’s a much healthier mindset for climbing!
I used to have the same issue—getting super frustrated with my team. The best advice I can give is to take a break and return with a calmer mindset. Focus on your own gameplay rather than typing or flaming. Once I started analyzing my own mistakes, I climbed from Silver to Emerald in just a few months!
I can relate! When I stopped worrying about my team’s performance and concentrated on my own, my win rate improved significantly.
There’s really no such thing as Elo Hell. You absolutely have the ability to climb to Gold! Start by changing your mindset and viewing your team as fellow players rather than ‘monkeys’ or ‘degenerates.’ Also, consider sticking with a role long enough to master it instead of constantly switching. Good positioning, mechanics, and game knowledge really matter! Go back to basics and work on those skills.
Exactly! Focusing on self-improvement is crucial. Once you start doing that, you’ll see a difference in your win rate.
Yeah, it’s easy to point fingers, but the key to improvement is self-reflection. Everyone can always do better, myself included.
