I’ve been struggling with some feelings lately that I wanted to share. After losing my dog recently, I’ve noticed that I feel bad for the bugs in the game, especially because they remind me of my dog—they put their little claws over their faces before I shoot them, just like my dog used to do. The sounds they make when they get hit make it even worse. Because of this, I stopped visiting the bug front in the game. Am I somehow betraying democracy with these feelings?

Sorry to hear about your dog, losing a pet is really tough. Don’t stress too much about the game! It’s supposed to be fun, so if you feel bad shooting at the bugs, it’s totally fine to take a step back. You’re allowed to enjoy gaming without feeling guilty about it!
Strictly speaking, you might be seen as a traitor by some, but let’s be real. The bugs are a hostile species with a hive mind, and it’s all part of the game, right? They can totally mess with our emotions to make us hesitate, so don’t let that get to you.
Exactly! Just remember it’s a game. Enjoy it how you want. Don’t let them win by making you feel bad.
