I’ve been playing Terraria for an insane amount of time—like seriously, I used to put in countless hours. But lately, just the thought of launching the game makes me feel nauseous. I adore Terraria, but now I can’t even manage to play for more than 10 minutes without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve tried various mods, but nothing seems to reignite that spark. Is it time for me to quit or take a break?

It sounds like you’re forcing it too much. If you’re not enjoying the game anymore, that’s totally okay! Try exploring other games or even different genres for a while. You’ll have more fun!
Taking a long break is important! I had my own mental health challenges and played nonstop for about eight months, but after that, I took a year off and came back with a fresh perspective. You can take a break for as long as you need!
It sounds like you might need a solid break. I usually dive into a couple of playthroughs, then take a few months off to recharge. It can really help you come back refreshed!
I haven’t touched it in years either, but when I tried again, I just felt sick as well. Maybe it’s time to find a new game for now.
You’re definitely not alone; I pumped over 600 hours into Terraria and felt the same way. It’s easy to burn out after so much time. Best to swap games for a bit and give yourself some space. You can always come back later!
Totally hear you. It’s tough, but it can be refreshing to take a break and try something new.
Honestly, it seems like you’re kind of done with Terraria for the time being. No harm in stepping away. You had fun while it lasted, right?
That’s a good point! Thanks for the reminder, and happy cake day by the way!
