Hey everyone! I’m planning to switch from Windows to Linux and I’ve narrowed my options down to Fedora and Nobara. I’m a total newbie who’s mainly going to use it for school and some gaming, so I’m looking for something that’s friendly for beginners and doesn’t come with too many complicated issues. I do have a friend who uses Nobara, so I could get some help if I go that route. I’m also considering dual-booting until I feel really comfortable with Linux. I’d love your advice on whether I should go for Fedora, Nobara, or maybe even another distro altogether. Thanks in advance!

I’d recommend checking out Bazzite instead. Fedora can require a pretty good setup for new users, and Nobara tends to break a bit more often than I’d like to suggest for a newbie. Bazzite offers a solid experience without too much hassle, especially for gaming.
If you’re into the Gnome desktop and looking for something stable, I believe Bazzite is a great choice too. It’s designed to avoid breaking easily and keeps things rolling with updates way faster than Nobara. It might limit some tinkering, but for a new user, that’s probably a good thing!
Totally agree! Bazzite feels more cohesive overall, and it has fantastic documentation which can really help out beginners.
