I’m really struggling with Borderlands 3 performance lately. Up until a while ago, the game was running alright, but now it’s almost unplayable. Whenever I open a menu, things slow down dramatically, I’m getting frequent screen tearing, vehicles won’t move properly, and the game freezes randomly. I’ve experimented with different Proton versions like GE, 9.0.4, and the base version, but the problems remain. I even set the game to 30 fps, lowered all graphics settings, and switched to DirectX 11, yet nothing changes. Plus, I’ve noticed there’s a tiny update almost daily, which is strange. I’ve heard some players can run it on medium to high settings without issues, so something must be off on my end. Can anyone help?

Honestly, I doubt playing on medium settings will help much. I found that even then, it barely holds 45 fps, and you’d likely have to lock it down to 30 fps on anything above low. People claiming otherwise might be exaggerating!
Hey, you might want to try checking the performance overlay to see what’s happening with your GPU usage during gameplay. Sometimes there are hidden settings that can be limiting your performance.
Yeah, definitely check if your GPU is capped or if there’s a power limit. That can totally tank performance.
I tried low settings and 30 fps too, and I’m still facing the same problems!
