I have an RTX 4070, 32GB of RAM, and an i7 12700F, but I’m encountering annoying stutters every few seconds while I’m traversing the open world, even when running on medium settings with frame generation enabled. It’s frustrating because I maintain over 60 FPS consistently, but these stutters really disrupt my gameplay. Has anyone else faced this issue? I’ve tried several mod fixes, but nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

I found that using a specific mod really helps. Check out this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/1808. It loads the entire map instead of just parts of it and has improved my performance significantly. I’m on a similar setup and usually get around 100 FPS at 1440p with most settings high, aside from foliage, shadows, and textures set to medium. There are still some stutters, but much less frequently. Just a heads up, I haven’t installed the latest update, so I’m not sure how that impacts it.
I totally get what you’re saying! I’m on a 5060ti with 16GB, and I experience the same constant stuttering even at ultra settings. It seems to be a widespread issue.
Yeah, Bethesda has acknowledged the issue and said they plan to fix it in a future patch, but no timeline has been given yet. It’s been over two months since release, which is pretty frustrating for players.
It’s wild how quickly the focus shifted away from Virtuos once the problems started. The lack of updates from the devs really sucks.
I thought it was just me! Was worried there was something wrong with my setup.
