I’ve been playing on PS5, and I’m really frustrated. The game starts off smooth at around 60 fps for the first 30 seconds, but then it drops below 30 fps and freezes up. I’ve tried adjusting the FOV and messing with the settings, but it feels embarrassing to have a game running this poorly in 2025. I know the common advice is to just wait for a patch, but does anyone have any effective fixes or tips?

I play on Series X, and while it’s not perfect, I’ve put a lot of hours into it without major hiccups. Maybe it’s just the difference between console and PC players? I’ve noticed lag in specific areas but it tends to smooth out. By the way, does the PS5 display FPS readings?
Honestly, this is a common theme with Bethesda games on PlayStation. Historically, their releases tend to be more stable on Xbox or PC. It’s frustrating, I know!
I hear you on that! But from what I’ve seen, both console versions are struggling. It’s wild how Series S can dip to 360p—definitely an issue with the Unreal Engine 5!
No FPS readings on PS5, but there are plenty of YouTube videos that break down framerate performance. It’s just a bummer that a 2025 release isn’t running smoothly. The game looks amazing, but those freezes really pull you out of the experience!
