Hey everyone! I’m really pumped to dive into my first game, and as my download is wrapping up, I couldn’t resist asking for some advice. I know it can be annoying when new players ask questions before even starting, but here I am anyway! I’d like to know if it’s better to sell the junk I find, or should I be breaking it down for materials? Also, any other quick tips are welcome since I’m kind of late to this game!

Selling items usually isn’t worth it. Instead, break them down and use the materials for crafting. The breakdown process also helps level up your skills, and researching traits will let you craft items with specific abilities later on. Have a blast!
What platform are you on? Would love to help you out in-game!
Don’t forget to train your mount daily at the Stables! Boosting your carry capacity is crucial, especially until you get ESO+. Remember, there’s no wrong way to play if you’re enjoying yourself! Welcome to the journey!
Generally, it’s a better strategy to break down the gear you find, especially unless you need it for research purposes or if it’s tagged as “Ornate” for selling. Breaking items at workbenches directly helps improve your crafting skills and yields materials.
I’m on PS5, and I chose the North American server since I’m in Australia!
