Should I sell junk items, or is it better to break them down for materials? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

It’s generally best to break down any gear you find, unless you need it for research or if it’s tagged as “Ornate”—that you can sell for gold instead! Deconstructing gives you materials and also helps level up your crafting skills.
