I had a strange issue while running a level 65 Pit for the second time this week. I cleared everything on the first floor, but when I got to the second floor, it seemed just as large. However, after defeating all the enemies, the completion bar was only about 80% full with plenty of time remaining, but no more monsters to kill. Has anyone else experienced this? I thought this bug was rare and hadn’t seen it since they first introduced the Pit. Just to clarify, I went back and checked everything, including the map, and there were no unexplored areas on either floor.

I’ve noticed when you’re near 100% completion, even if a few straggler monsters are left, the portal won’t spawn. You often have to backtrack to find those last few to get everything flowing again.
I think you might have missed some stray mobs. I’ve seen players not realize there are still a couple of enemies hiding in corners. Try taking a screenshot of both floors next time. That way, we can help point out any areas you might have overlooked.
Yeah, I’ve run into this issue as well, especially with the event after the first boss where not enough enemies spawn for the second boss. It’s like they forget to generate more enemies sometimes, which makes it feel really off. Makes you feel like you’re the one slacking when it’s actually the game!
This issue has cropped up for me during dungeon events. Sometimes the game just doesn’t spawn enough enemies. Occasionally, it’s because my character can scare them off before I even see them! But I feel you; even checking the map doesn’t guarantee you got them all.
I totally get you! This has happened to me before too. I thought I’d cleared everything, but then I found one corner with a few mobs that popped the red portal. It’s super annoying to waste time thinking you’re done and then realizing you miss a few tiny areas.
Exactly! It’s always in the corners or somewhere hidden. Next time, definitely check those out!
That’s a great idea! I’ll do that next time.
