I’m thinking about picking up a Steam Deck and have been budgeting for it. SWTOR is one of the games I’m eager to play. Can anyone share their experiences on how well it runs on the Steam Deck?

It runs really well, but you’ll need to spend some time setting up your controls and UI. For example, assigning the right joystick to mimic mouse movement can help a lot for that action RPG feel. Once that’s done, it’s pretty fun!
Yeah, it works great! You can also check ProtonDB for additional reports and some useful tweaks. Just a heads up, the controls may take a bit of time to set up, but it’s not overly complicated.
I’ve logged over 150 hours on my Steam Deck with SWTOR. It runs pretty smoothly overall, though I did notice some fps drops on certain planets. Just keep that in mind, but it’s generally a great experience!
It should be fine! I’ve heard some players have issues launching in gaming mode, so if you run into that, you can always try launching it in desktop mode. Alternatively, switching to an OS like tiny11 might smooth things out for you!
