Hey, I’m stuck in the observation room while playing Resident Evil 2, and Mr. X just won’t leave my area. I’ve been waiting for what feels like an eternity, but either his loud footsteps are echoing from the opposite side or he’s just camping out. Should I take the hit and just run for it, or is there another strategy I should consider?

Honestly, it’s less about the doors and more about your movement. Running around will draw his attention quickly, and he seems to appear almost randomly even after being quiet. Just be cautious and try to avoid running unless necessary.
From my experience, it’s pretty tough to gauge where Mr. X is. During my playthrough, I often had no clue if he was right outside or above me. You might have to just make a break for it! Sometimes you just gotta go for it.
Lol, I can totally relate! Just the other day, I thought I had lost him, only to walk right into him after going down from the library. He even came after me in the jail when I was dealing with zombies. The guy can be sneaky!
It all depends on how you approach the doors. If you’re slamming them open, he will definitely hear you and come after you. But if you take it slow and walk through, you’ll be much safer.
