I recently ventured into Skethermore and encountered some protocol soldiers near the interchange. Now, they’re always hostile toward me. If I start taking them out, will it ruin my reputation with Captain Sims? Will he notice if I kill a few soldiers and become hostile toward me as well?

I’ve taken down a ton of protocol soldiers myself, wanting to snag some of those pristine guns. I cleared out loads of them in Skethermore and even made everyone hostile at the prison. Surprisingly, I was still able to continue with Captain Sims’ questline without any issues. As long as I steered clear of the forbidden areas, I could wander around Wyndham Village and protocol locations without them giving me any trouble.
