I’m curious if anyone has tried using game chat on the Switch 2 while it’s docked. Specifically, I want to know if it works without needing any extra accessories. I usually play Fortnite on my PS5 and just mute my controller instead of messing with the chat settings, but now that I’m on the Switch 2, I’m wondering if I should adjust those settings too?

Yeah, it works! I played docked with my Pro controller, and the game chat came through the TV speakers perfectly. The sound quality was impressive too!
It definitely works! My friends and I have used it while playing, and it’s a blast. Especially fun when racing in Mario Kart while chatting.
Absolutely, I just spent hours chatting with a family member while playing Mario Kart in docked mode. We just used the built-in mic, and it worked fine! There’s no push-to-talk option unless I missed it, but the system mostly picks up speech. Just a heads up, you need to verify your phone number with Nintendo to use the feature.
I haven’t tried it myself, but during the welcome tour, I tested the mic. It picked up my voice really clearly even with noise around, so I’d say the chat feature is solid.
