I’m looking for a game that I can just blast through while jamming out to my music at full volume. Will DOOM 2016 meet that vibe or is it filled with a ton of cutscenes? If it doesn’t fit the bill, what are some other games that I could try instead?

DOOM 2016 has just enough story to add context but it definitely doesn’t get in the way of the high-paced action. You can enjoy the mayhem without worrying about too many cutscenes.
It’s similar to games like Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden; there’s a story, but it’s definitely not the main focus. You’ll be blasting through levels without much distraction!
I’m playing DOOM 2016 right now, and I can say the story doesn’t interrupt the gameplay at all – it’s more about the action and fun.
The game has a killer soundtrack, so why not just crank that up while you play? It really amps up the experience! And even when there is dialogue, it’s pretty much just the Doom Slayer cutting characters off and smashing stuff.
It’s mostly about the explosive gameplay rather than the story. If you want something that’s all about blowing things up without storyline fuss, DOOM is a blast!
