I’ve been thinking about my playstyle lately. Sometimes I skip every bit of dialogue because it gets boring, except for the main quests. How do you guys handle it? Do you stop to read everything, or are you more of a skimmer like me?

I read through the dialogues. They’re actually pretty engaging, almost on par with single-player games, and I paid good money for this content, so I want to savor it!
I actually use an addon that gets rid of the dialogue window and just focuses on the NPC. It makes me listen to their dialogue since I can’t read or pick responses right away. Once they finish speaking, the options pop up at the bottom. It’s a fun way to be more immersive with the story! I love to take my time, listen to the environment music while leisurely exploring too.
When there’s new content, I definitely take the time to listen. But when I’m running through older areas, like the starting zones, I speed through. I’m on my twentieth time through those quests, lol!
Honestly, I’ve skipped all the dialogues and have been playing for seven years without sound. Just want to finish the story to get back to the good stuff like trials!
It really varies for me based on my mood. I pay attention on my first run through, but if I’m trying to speed through something, I skip.
I make it a point to listen to all the dialogues at least once, but after that, I mostly skip, especially for recurring stuff like daily quests. Can’t be bothered to sit through it again if I’ve done it all before!
Some stories just don’t hold my interest, so I skip to keep the game moving. But I have to admit, I’m actually enjoying the Thieves Guild story currently!
I listen to characters I like, but less interesting ones I just read through. If I’m in a group dungeon, I skip it all since I don’t want to waste others’ time. I prefer solo quests anyway if I want to know the narratives!
I read the dialogues when I’m not in a rush or trying to get the full story. It all just depends on what I’m feeling!
Which addon are you using? It sounds like a neat way to experience the game!
