I’m playing a legacy family in The Sims and mainly focus on the daughter. I have it set up so characters don’t age unless I’m controlling them, which allows me to jump around a bit. I’m curious what others do—do you keep all your legacy households in one lot and move family members and spouses in together, or do you switch things up? Sometimes I find bouncing between households a bit annoying, but I also can’t imagine having everyone live together all the time.

I definitely move about once a generation to keep it fresh. After a few generations, I end up with a larger estate that I occasionally return to, so it’s a mix—some family stays there while the heir goes off to start anew.
I’m currently four generations in across different households and let my sims live autonomously. I just intervene occasionally for big life moments. It’s a bit chaotic, especially when trying to have a ton of babies, but that’s part of the fun!
I prefer to keep track by having everyone in one household. It helps me manage who ages and avoids missing important events, as I get stressed when they move out unexpectedly.
For me, I generally change houses every generation or when the storyline requires it. Staying in one place can get pretty dull quickly.
