I’m curious how many of you actually take the time to read lore books and tomes you find in games like ESO. I’ve read a few and some are pretty intriguing, but usually, I just open them up and instantly close them. What’s your approach to these in-game texts? Do you dive deep into the stories or just skim through them?

Not really my thing. If a game isn’t fully voice acted, I struggle to sit through text. I’m all about audiobooks these days. If there’s a way to have them read out loud in-game, I’d totally be down for that!
You should look into accessibility options—might help with that!
Honestly, I don’t read much unless it’s quest-related. I’m more of an action player, and sometimes I just don’t have the patience to sit and read, especially during intense questing.
I feel you on that! Questing can get pretty hectic.
Exactly! I tend to stick to lore books that stand out or catch my eye.
I try to read every book I can in ESO and Skyrim. They really add to the lore and make the world feel richer. Especially in ESO, I love how the LoreBooks addon enhances the experience.
Agreed! That addon really makes it easier to keep track of everything.
Definitely! Plus, it helps flesh out the quests more.
Yes! I’m a massive fan of lore and treat every RPG as a rich story experience. I may not remember every detail, but I enjoy the humor and depth that the books add to the game. Plus, there’s some truly funny stuff hidden within those pages!
Right?! I love how they weave in comedy with the serious stuff.
For sure! It makes the world feel so much more alive.
Honestly, I try to read every book I can find, especially when they tie into quests. Some of them boost my skills too, which is a nice bonus! But yeah, there are definitely books that just don’t catch my attention right away and get closed instantly.
Totally get that! If a book looks interesting at first glance, I’m more likely to stick with it.
Same here! I love finding those little lore nuggets while exploring.
There’s a podcast out there that does lore readings! Could check that.
