I’ve been wondering about the armor that the Primarchs wear. Do they have the same power armor ports as regular Space Marines? I assume the Emperor must have ensured they could wear power armor after finding each Primarch. It’s clear they don’t need any additional surgeries since they were made with their extra organs and abilities, but would they still need those armor ports installed? Or do they somehow operate without them?

Primarch armor is unique; it was crafted without needing the black carapace to interface. For instance, Curze had to deal with lesser armor after losing his original gear, which highlights how much better their custom armor is. It’s built to function perfectly without those extra ports!
It seems like Primarchs don’t actually have the black carapace like regular Space Marines. They’re so incredibly powerful that some argue they don’t even need a specialized interface for their armor. So yes, they can do without the ports entirely. That said, they do have a body glove under their armor, like what Guilliman uses, but they don’t require the black carapace for functionality. Other types of armor, like those used by Sisters of Battle or some Inquisitors, also function without it!
Exactly! The Primarchs’ armor was designed differently and doesn’t need that interface to operate effectively. Plus, they lack some of the organs typically found in Space Marines, such as the geneseed.
Right! There was even a moment with Guilliman where he felt pain through his armor, showing how advanced it is compared to standard gear.
