I’ve been thinking about how Legendary and Mythical Pokémon seem to stick to their own games or generations in the anime. Take the lake trio, Pokémon of myth, and Arceus for example—they mostly just interact with each other. Then you’ve got the legendary birds, Mew, and Mewtwo, plus the legendary beasts and super ancient Pokémon. I’m curious, are there any epic moments in the anime or movies where different Legendaries battle, like Giratina fighting Groudon or something? That would be so cool to see!

Yes! In the movies, there are a few legendary fights too. Like, Mew and Mewtwo have a big showdown in their feature movie, and Lugia takes on the three legendary birds at once in another film. It’s not exactly what you’re asking, but it shows that they’re not always just locked in their own circles!
You mentioned battles, but there are also instances where trainers use Legendaries from different regions. For instance, one of the Frontier Brains had an Articuno, and I remember Ash’s opponent in the Sinnoh championships had a Latios—which is pretty neat for cross-region interactions.
Totally! One of the coolest crossover moments happens at the end of the Hoopa movie, where a bunch of Legendaries come out of ring portals and end up having a massive brawl. It’s chaotic and super fun to watch, then there’s this big rescue moment that wraps things up.
That’s awesome! I love those moments. It’s fun to see how they can clash with each other, even if they’re often in different generations.
