Hey everyone! I’ve got a Lenovo LOQ setup with an RTX 4060 and a Ryzen 5 7640HS. While my temperatures during intense gaming hover around 80-85°C, I’m curious about whether investing in a laptop cooler would really help me out. I did some digging on YouTube and saw that coolers might only reduce temps by about 2-5 degrees. Is it worth the investment or is my laptop’s cooling system already doing a decent job, especially since I’m using it on flat surfaces?

If you’re thinking about a cooler, it might not be the best investment for just a minor temp drop. A lot of folks say they get around a 2-5°C decrease, so for something in the $30-$40 range, it might not be worth the cash. I have a ThinkPad that runs pretty hot, and I got about 25°C cooler with a better setup—so it really sounds like it depends on your laptop’s cooling efficiency more than anything.
So basically, it’s more about your laptop’s design than the cooler itself, huh? Good to know!
