I’m planning to upgrade my PS5 with a new SSD soon. My concern is whether I’ll have to re-download all the games I have installed on my current setup, or will there be an easier way to transfer them? Any advice or tips would be appreciated!

What you can do is copy your existing games to an external drive before you install the new SSD. Once the new SSD is set up, you can transfer them back. This method avoids having to re-download everything and saves a lot of time.
If you’re just adding an SSD for extra storage and not replacing your existing one, you don’t have to re-download your games. You can move them to an external drive first, or even keep them on your main SSD if there’s enough space during the upgrade.
