I just returned to the game after a long break, and I’m trying to get my head around the fishing mechanic. If I pass Linda Lee 100 fish bits at once, will I receive 4 legendaries, or do I need to split them into smaller groups of 25?

Totally, you can go all-in! I saw that Angry Turtle guy feed her thousands at once, and he got rewarded like he’d done it in 25s. So, definitely worth going big!
I handed in about 140 bits last time and scored 5 legendaries. Just keep in mind, if you turn in a smaller number and don’t get anything, it keeps track of that for the next batch. So you won’t miss out!
You can give her all 100 fish bits in one go! There’s no need to split them into 25s. Just giving them all at once will still get you the rewards for each 25. That’s how it’s set up, so don’t worry about doing it in smaller batches.
