I’ve been playing through Final Fantasy XII: Zodiac Age and I’ve noticed something strange in the Henne Mines. As I was exploring, I encountered jars (treasure chests) that seemed to appear out of nowhere in areas where I could swear they weren’t before. I was just wondering if it’s possible that moving around too much could be causing these chests to respawn, similar to how enemies do in the game. Is it true that chests can respawn when you move too far away, or was I just missing them the first time?

Yeah, treasure chests in Final Fantasy XII can indeed respawn! In the Zodiac Age, you usually have to move one zone away for them to reset. In the original game, it was three zones. So when you’re moving around in the Henne Mines, if you venture far enough away, those chests can come back with random loot. It’s a handy way to make sure you’re not missing out on anything!
That’s a good point! Just keep in mind that while chests respawn after moving a certain distance, enemies can sometimes pop back just by moving around in the same area. It’s a bit tricky!
