I’m considering getting a Steam Deck for long flights and was wondering if achievements will still be tracked while I’m offline. Can anyone help clarify?

Actually, if you start the game while connected to WiFi and it loads the retro achievements, you can earn achievements offline without closing the game. Just make sure to keep your connection until it syncs!
From what I’ve experienced, achievements don’t get tracked when you’re offline. I missed out on some in Dark Souls because I was disconnected. So, it’s better to check your progress while connected to ensure everything saves properly.
