I recently bought an HP Victus 16.1-inch gaming laptop featuring an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, Nvidia RTX 4070, 16GB DDR5 RAM, and a 512GB SSD for $899 at Best Buy. I’m curious if this is a good price for what I’m getting.

Absolutely, it’s a great deal! That’s actually $100 less than what I’ve seen for other laptops with the 4070.
It looks like a solid deal to me! Just a heads up, if you’re looking to boost performance, consider upgrading to 32GB RAM and adding more storage later on.
Yeah, it’s a good deal and falls right into the budget to mid-range category. I would strongly suggest upgrading to 32GB DDR5 5600 for better performance. Just keep in mind, you can only fit one NVMe SSD in this model, so if you want more storage, you’ll need an external drive adapter to clone or do a fresh Windows install.
That’s a killer deal! I mean, if you’re a fan of the chassis style. Definitely worth it at that price.
Thanks! I really like the look, so I’m glad to hear that.
Wait, are you saying there’s no extra SSD slot? I just bought this same model thinking I could swap in my other SSD.
