I recently took out one of my GPUs for cleaning, but it doesn’t look right now. I’m really new to building PCs and I think I may have damaged the pins on my motherboard. Can someone help me figure out if I’m in trouble?

Yeah, it sounds like you might be in a bit of a pickle. Did you forget to use the GPU release latch? If you forced it out, you might have pulled out the entire PCI slot along with your GPU. It’s a tough lesson, and you might need a new motherboard depending on the damage.

This might be fixable if you can straighten the pins and get the slot back in, but it sounds risky. If the pins are shorting out, turning it on could make things worse.
