I have an idea that might sound a bit crazy, but hear me out. What if World of Tanks introduced a temporary voice chat feature for a limited time? Just a month to see how players react to it. I can see some pros, like improved teamwork and communication—players who usually ignore chat or the map might pay attention to voice instead. Plus, talking to teammates can be pretty fun; I’ve had a great time in other games like Counter-Strike.
But, there are definitely downsides to consider as well. Toxicity is a huge concern, and it could get distracting if people start yelling or being rude. Managing voice chat could also be tricky—who knows what kind of language people might use? Maybe a mute option could help, like a team vote to silence a toxic player for a bit, but that might create more distractions.
So, what do you think? Can the World of Tanks community handle voice chat, or would it just lead to chaos? Would you want to try a special event with voice chat?

Honestly, the toxic side of things worries me too. As a female player, I feel like I’d be targeted just for speaking up. I love the anonymity of playing without voice chat—but I do see the benefits of better teamwork if we could communicate more easily. In a perfect world, it could be great, but I’m not so sure about our current player base.
I get where you’re coming from, but I think it could be a bad idea. A lot of players already avoid using text chat because of the negativity, so adding voice chat might just amplify the problem. Toxicity is a real issue in games like this, and I wouldn’t want to deal with constant insults instead of focusing on gameplay.
