In the original Pokémon games, there’s this tutorial scene where an old man teaches you how to catch Pokémon. Interestingly, he battles a wild Rattata without sending out his own Pokémon; he just reaches for his items and throws a Poké Ball, allowing the Rattata to escape. But here’s the kicker: the ‘fight’ option is still active. This suggests that he himself could physically fight the Rattata. This brings up some fun questions: What kind of moves would he have? Could he take down a stronger Pokémon, and has he had experience fighting them? Since he’s not a Pokémon, would the typical rules apply? Would he actually stop fighting once the Rattata faints, or could it be worse?

Honestly, he probably levels up to like 100 by now! No Pokémon could be too strong for him, especially if we’re imagining he has some sort of insane backstory. Of course, we can’t ignore that some Pokémon like Zoroark can talk too—so who knows, he could actually be a Pokémon in disguise!
Did you know that in the Japanese version he was actually passed out drunk? Makes you wonder what he’d be capable of after a few drinks! I’d love to see him take on a massive battle!
It’s definitely a wild scenario! I mean, if he’s too tired (or hasn’t had his coffee), he might just struggle against a little Rattata. But I like to think he brings some serious experience to the table when it comes to battling.
Right? And then there’s Meowth who talks too—this could all just be one big mystery!
