I’m thinking about how the upcoming Renegades DLC might really surprise us with a PvPvE mode or something where we actually battle against NPC Guardians. With the whole Star Wars vibe it seems people are straying away from what could be a fresh take on the Destiny formula. They keep mentioning a Wild West aesthetic, which feels less like Star Wars and more about the themes of renegades and fighting against darker forces. There’s been a ton of lore about rogue Guardians and different factions. Do you think we’ll actually get true PvP encounters with them? Or will they just stick to having NPCs like Hive or Fallen to battle while Guardians watch from the sidelines? Just curious about how player choice might influence the story this time around too!

For sure, but they’re probably juggling a lot already. Implementing something new like this could be tough unless they’ve been working on it in secret. We had those experimental modes before, so it’s not out of the question!
I’d love to see a social space where players can interact without weapons, but as soon as you step outside…it’s all out PvP! It sounds epic, as long as death doesn’t punish you too severely!
Absolutely! Imagine a scenario where teams of players could drop into a hostile area and compete for loot, like a twist on the old faction gameplay. It would really shake up the PvP experience if they integrate new mechanics. Having a tiered loot system could add depth!
According to the description from the timeline, it mentions we’ll be fighting a dredgen, which could hint at these exciting new encounters. However, I’m still skeptical if we’ll actually battle them in-game, or if they’ll just pop up in cutscenes. It would be a missed opportunity if we don’t get a boss fight against a guardian!
Right? I totally wonder if they’ll just have NPCs fight for them while we watch! We need some direct player-on-player action!
Exactly, a balance is needed! It would ruin the experience if casual players felt scared to venture out. Maybe it should be more optional!
