Hey everyone! I’m having issues with my PC where it shuts down about 50% of the time when my GPU is under load. I’m running a Ryzen 7 5700X3D with an RTX 3060. I’ve swapped out the power supply twice already with the same model, but the problem persists. The PSU is a lesser-known brand from Asia, rated at 650w, and I can’t find much info about it online. I’m wondering if this power supply could be the culprit or if something else might be going on.

It’s worth considering that the PSU might not be the only issue here. Sometimes, if a PSU is undersized or has poor quality, it can cause random shutdowns under load, even if you’ve replaced it. Have you noticed if the shutdowns happen only during sudden spikes in GPU load, like when starting a game? That could hint at a voltage issue. Just to be safe, you could try monitoring your PSU voltages under load with a software tool or see if you can borrow a more reliable PSU from a friend to test with. It might help narrow down the problem!
Good point! You might also want to check the rest of your components for overheating or power issues. Sometimes, it’s not just the PSU that causes problems.
