Could my PS5 be overheating?

I was playing the PS4 version of Elden Ring for about three hours and then switched to FC 25. Out of nowhere, I started to hear the fans ramping up, which was weird since it was quiet before. Shortly afterward, the console just shut down without any warning. When I tried to turn it back on and launched FC 25 again, it happened again just two minutes in. What could be going on?

Honestly, cleaning it could work wonders. If the fans are kicking in after some use, that’s a strong sign it’s getting too hot.

It might be the power supply that’s clogged. If it were just overheating, you’d typically get an error message before it shut down. That’s a bit concerning.

It sounds like your PS5 is overheating. You might need to open it up and give it a good cleaning. Dust buildup can block airflow and cause those shutdowns.
