Now that we know the capabilities of the Switch 2, do you think it could run Baldur’s Gate 3? I’m really hoping for a port because playing BG3 on the go would be awesome! What are your thoughts?

While the Switch 2 can handle some heavy hitters, BG3 is super CPU intensive—especially in Act 3. I’m skeptical it can handle that well, but I’d love to be wrong!
Honestly, if Cyberpunk can run on it, there’s a good chance BG3 could as well. But the big question is whether Larian will put in the effort to make it happen.
They did port DOS2, so there’s definitely some hope for BG3 too!
I think a port might not happen—Larian could prefer focusing on their next projects instead of spending time on a port. They might outsource it, though, like they’re doing for Hogwarts Legacy’s Switch 2 version.
Outsourcing could be the key! It might allow them to keep their main team focused on new content while still satisfying fans.
I’d be all in for a Switch 2 port! I love playing BG3 on my Deck, but it’d be more comfy on my Switch 2. Here’s hoping they consider it, especially since they nailed the DOS2 port!
Definitely seems likely! If they could get Divinity ports running, BG3 should be doable too. Just a matter of time, I suppose. Fingers crossed!
Totally agree! If my Xbox Series S struggled with Act 3, I can’t imagine how the Switch 2 would handle it.
