I’ve been having a really frustrating time with Overwatch crashing just a minute into the game or even while I’m still in the lobby. I’ve reached out to Blizzard support, but their response felt pretty dismissive. It seems like there might be an issue with video resources or something about my rendering device losing connection. The weird part is that every app crashes alongside Overwatch, and even with everything else closed and no overlays on, the crashes still happen. I’m at my wits’ end here!

If you’re on an Nvidia GPU, this crashing might be tied to your drivers. I’ve seen a lot of players mentioning similar issues. You should consider rolling back to more stable driver versions—preferably using DDU to completely uninstall the new ones. That should help stabilize your gaming experience!
I totally get your struggle! I haven’t been able to play Overwatch for over a month because it crashes within a couple of minutes every time. I even get an error code when it crashes, but I can’t make heads or tails of it. I’ve been playing since beta and have put over 2,000 hours into the game, so not being able to play is a real bummer! My setup is pretty beefy too: Core i9-14900KF, RTX 4090, and 64GB of RAM.
Sounds like a frustrating situation! It might be worth checking your Nvidia drivers. A lot of players have been experiencing issues with the newer drivers. Rolling back to version 566 from December could solve the problem, especially if you’re not using a 5K GPU.
