Hey all, I’ve been having a rough time with my Series X because of constant crashes and other annoying problems. It’s making it hard to enjoy gaming. I’m getting frustrated because it crashes or shuts off after only 10-20 minutes of gameplay, even the air space is good and I keep it clean. The only thing it’s semi-happy playing is Xbox 360 games or Forza Horizon 5. I’m thinking about either jumping ship to a PS5 or building a PC (though that’s a whole other pricey adventure). I’d love your honest thoughts. For those who own a PS5, do you face crashes, overheating, or Wi-Fi hassles? Is the console reliable overall? Hit me with the good, the bad, or whatever you got.

I made the switch from Series X mainly because my wife surprised me with a PS5 for Christmas last year. I haven’t looked back since! The PS5’s been my main console ever since I got it.
Honestly, I haven’t run into many problems with my PS5 other than the rare game crash, which isn’t that big of a deal to me and has only happened a handful of times since I got it last year. Overall, it’s been reliable.
Both of the PS5s in our house (I’ve got kids who game too) have been performing really well. No crashing issues here. So I’d say it’s a safe bet if you’re looking to switch.
I’ve had my PS5 for about 3 years and for the most part, it’s been pretty solid. Occasionally, I deal with a crash or two, but it’s nothing frequent. Key thing is making sure it has enough space around it to prevent overheating.
