Hey folks, I just got my Oled and was hoping to set up the right trackpad to function like a mouse, with different areas acting as left and right clicks. I’ve tried some things but I’m not having any luck. Got any advice or tricks for making this work?

You could set the trackpad as a radial menu in Steam Input. This’ll let you map different clicks to the trackpad sections. It may take a bit to set up, but it should help you get those custom clicks working.
Some folks recommend using mode shifts with Steam Input to get more out of your trackpad, like setting up cardinal buttons rather than corner presses. It’s a bit technical, but there are vids out there (although they’re for the old UI) that’ll guide you through it.
While you can tweak the trackpad settings, you might end up choosing between using it as a mouse or as a button array. If you set it for clicks, you might lose out on the mouse movement functionality. Honestly, it seems like you gotta decide which feature takes priority for what you’re doing.
That sounds like a bummer, right? Isn’t there a workaround to get both clicks and movement together? Surely someone’s figured this out!
