I’m on the lookout for some awesome co-op games that I can team up with random players. Specifically, I’m interested in three genres: a Souls-like, a horde-shooter, and a survival game. I love playing games where I can mess with others, like invading in Elden Ring or taking down someone in DayZ after they’ve invested a lot of time. I need games that allow easy matchmaking with randoms. For the Souls-like, I really enjoyed Elden Ring, especially the PvP invasions, and I’m also game for helping randoms through tough bosses. Other co-op experiences like Ghost of Tsushima’s Legends mode are cool too, but I miss the PvP element. I’ve thought of New World but I’ve heard mixed reviews.
For the horde-shooter, I liked the idea of GTFO but I’m looking for something with better matchmaking since GTFO lacks that option. I want a game where enemies genuinely feel threatening, rather than just fodder. I’m not interested in easy games like Space Marine 2.
Lastly, for survival games, I’m a DayZ fan, but the time commitment is pretty intense for how quickly you can die. I’ve considered Project Zomboid but it seems to lack PvP. Deadside has caught my interest with its slower time-to-kill, but the AI is a bit wonky. I want to snipe players, mow down zombies, and have fun interactions. I’m also keeping an eye on upcoming titles like Chrono-odyssey and Dune, but I’m looking for something to dive into right now!

You might be labeled a griefer, but I totally get your playstyle! Have you thought about **Mortal Shell** for a Souls-like experience? It’s more focused on PvE, but the challenge is similar. Plus, you can still engage with other players in the open world. For horde-shooters, check out **World War Z**! It’s got random matchmaking and a great horde mechanic that really ramps up the tension.
Check out **Deceive Inc.!** It has a stealthy twist where you can infiltrate groups and gather intel. It’s not as crowded but you can have some fun chaos with randoms, especially in casual matches. Just be mindful, it has player limits, so not ideal for huge groups.
Yeah, but it only supports like 3 players at once, which seems pretty low. It’s still a cool game, but I wish it had a bigger player base to allow for more chaos!
I just love how you can invade in Souls games too! Makes it feel more alive. But World War Z definitely amps up the horror vibe with relentless waves of zombies.
