Hey everyone, I’m new to the gaming laptop scene and I need some advice on which laptop to pick. I’m planning to buy one of these tomorrow and your opinions would really help me out! Here are the options:
1. HP OMEN 16.1″ QHD with a 165Hz display, Intel i9-12900H 14-Core, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB PCIe SSD.
2. MSI Gaming Laptop with an Intel 9th gen i7-9750H, NVIDIA RTX 2080 Max-Q, 32GB DDR4 RAM, and a 1TB SSD.

You seem interested in the HP OMEN, and that’s a solid choice. The difference in processor speed is noticeable, especially for newer games. Real-world performance will be better with the i9-12900H compared to the older i7-9750H. It should make a significant difference in your gaming and everyday tasks.
I’d definitely go with the HP OMEN. The newer CPU gives a big boost in performance and efficiency. Although the RTX 3060 is slightly less powerful than the RTX 2080 Max-Q, it’s more energy-efficient and paired with a better display on the OMEN. Plus, you can always upgrade the RAM to accommodate more demanding games.
