I just finished the Iron Throne quest in Baldur’s Gate 3, and now I’m stuck! I can’t long rest or even change locations, whether that’s fast traveling or just walking around. I’ve gone through all the conversation options available with Wyll and the Duke, but nothing is working. I’m playing on Xbox Series X—any ideas on how to fix this?
As an update, I think the issue might have started earlier. Apparently, my controller double-clicked when I sent Gale to the temple to have a chat with his God just before resting. We didn’t even meet him there, and now it seems like that might have bugged the game. Interestingly, the second oldest save we have that was created after long resting is experiencing the same problem.
Another update: It looks like this isn’t a save issue after all. Regardless of the save we load, we keep running into this same problem. I ended up killing the game entirely, turned off quick resume, and now it seems to be working again!

It sounds like a rough bug experience! If things aren’t working after the Iron Throne, I’d suggest rolling back to an earlier save—preferably one before you reached that point. Hopefully, that clears up the issue for you!
Yeah, it’s super annoying when this happens! Larian makes amazing games, but these bugs really take away from the experience, especially in long RPGs.
I wonder if the bug might’ve started before the Iron Throne! We had a similar situation with Gale’s mission, but it got messed up because of different players finishing it.
